So you have heard of CrossFit, you may have read about it or watched CrossFit videos online, which has led you to CrossFit LE3.
So what exactly is it? With constantly varied, high-intensity functional movements, CrossFit is a training programme that can be utilised by people of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities, in order to get in shape, lose fat, build strength and improve cardiovascular fitness.
Every WOD, or Workout of the Day, is skilfully programmed in order to provide a wide range of varied and challenging workouts, which develop all round fitness so you are prepared for the challenges that life throws at you.
Everybody completes the same WOD, regardless of age, gender, fitness level or ability; however each session is completely scalable and will be adapted to individual needs. For example, if you are not yet able to perform a strict pull up, the movement will be adapted, in this instance with the use of bands, then as you get stronger and more experienced you’ll work your way towards performing the workouts as prescribed.
CrossFit LE3 is very different from a ‘normal gym’ in many ways, we don’t use machines such as treadmills or weight machines as part of our training programmes, and we pride ourselves on knowing the names of each individual member, who in turn form part of a strong, enthusiastic and encouraging group.
